About Me
Nishan Thapa is a board certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He then earned his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Tru-Skin Dermatology, Nishan spent four years practicing medical and surgical dermatology in Corpus Christi. He is passionate about the field of dermatology and enjoys advocating for his patients by listening to them and working together to create an individualized plan for their skin care needs.
He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). As part of his dedication to continued medical education, he completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship program and attends national conferences to stay current on treatment guidelines.
Outside of Dermatology, Nishan enjoys time outdoors with his partner and his 80 lb Australian Shepherd named Ollie (ask for photos at your next visit)! He is happy to be closer to family and to be adding a new, and most important, title to his name: uncle. While the Austin traffic may take some getting used to, Nishan is excited to serve and be a part of the community within Austin, Bastrop, & La Grange.
